We are a small, boutique-style custom cakery devoted to creating beautiful cakes for lovely clients like you. In order to maintain high quality standards (and because it’s just the two of us), we take a limited number of orders per week. We book up quickly, so please be sure to order your cake as far in advance as possible—for best availability, we recommend at least 6 to 8+ months’ notice for wedding cakes and larger orders. We accept orders up to one year in advance.
Your deposit or full payment (in some cases) reserves your order on a first-come, first-served basis. Deposits are non-refundable. Sometimes last-minute orders are able to be accommodated, so shoot us an email to check our availability.
**Sorry, we do not make “naked” cakes, cupcakes, or other desserts.**
Custom Wedding Cakes are priced by the slice and include any designs that do not fall within the Sweet & Simple Collection. The final cost is dependent upon the design, so costs vary (please send us photos of the designs you like, and we’d be happy to provide you with price quotes). A general rule of thumb: the more complex the design, the higher the per-slice cost. On average, our Custom Wedding Cakes tend to cost between $14-$18/slice, with very intricate designs costing more. The basic formula is: (per-slice cost) x (# of guests) = (cake cost) Minimum order: $1,000
The Sweet & Simple Collection is a line of cake for those interested in a more basic design. Sweet & Simple cakes are priced by the whole cake and are not subject to a minimum order, so they are perfect for smaller weddings and larger events alike. They come in set sizes ranging from 29 servings to 200+, and pricing starts at $500. Please see the Sweet & Simple Collection page for more details. No minimum order
Sculpted Cakes are priced by the whole cake, and in many cases may require a minimum number of servings in order to have enough cake to work with (this amount varies with the design). Sculpted Cakes are perfect for Groom’s Cakes and as fun conversation pieces at any event! Most sculpted cakes are unique designs, so costs vary based on labor, intricacy, and size. Inquire for pricing.
Generally speaking: Most of our cakes are custom designs. Due to the nature of custom cakes, final prices vary upon the complexity of the design. Please inquire for price quotes.
In-person cake tastings and design consultations are available for Custom Wedding Cakes only. The tasting fee is $50 (payable in advance via credit card), which will be credited toward your order if you decide to book your wedding cake with us. Tasting appointments are scheduled on Saturday mornings at Love & Lovely Creative Studio in downtown Sonoma, and each appointment lasts approximately one hour. If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you kindly give us 48 hours notice—cancelations made later than that will not be refunded the $50 tasting fee.
In-person cake tastings are not available for orders from our Sweet & Simple Collection. In order to keep these cakes a budget-friendly option, we handle these orders in just a couple of quick emails! But don’t worry—you can still sample our cakes! Boxed tasting plates “to-go” are available for pick-up for $25 (from our bakery in Napa), which will be credited toward your order if you decide to book your wedding cake with us (applies to orders of $1,000+ only, not including delivery).
Planning your wedding from afar, or unable to swing by and pick up a tasting plate “to-go”? We’ve got you covered! We can ship our cake samples to (almost) anywhere in the U.S. Just tell us your delivery address, and we’ll let you know the shipping fee. A $25 tasting fee applies, but will be credited toward your order if you decide to book your wedding cake with us (applies to orders of $1,000+ only, not including delivery…sorry, the shipping fee is non-refundable).
How big is a slice of cake?
Although we will not be the ones cutting your cake (your caterers will do that, and they are cake-cutting experts!), the slice we account for measures 1″ x 2″ x 4″ (roughly the volume of two decks of playing cards). Not too big, not too small—it’s the perfect size to end your meal. We think you (and Goldilocks) will agree that it’s just right.
